Installation of frame box kit on 1977 FJ40
These are some extra photos taken while we were installing this on a friend's FJ40.

The most important step to installing the frame box kit is simple preparation. Cleaning the inside of the frame is very important in order for the kit to slide in properly. Not to mention, clean metal is a must to get a good weld.

These first two pictures are of the passenger side long plate welded in and ready to be painted.
The plates are inserted inside of the frame and then pulled to the outside edge leaving a small lip area on which to weld.

This is a picture of the passenger side short plate welded in and also ready to be painted. Note how the factory wire clip is being re-used to hold harness in place.

Here is a picture of the driver side short plate.

This shot is of the passenger side spring hanger gusset.
